In addition, the company trades chrome plate for food containers and cans. These materials do not oxidize and are completely recyclable. This is also why they are widely used in the food and canning industry. Furthermore, both the tinplate and chrome plate keep the products contained inside the can unaltered and ready for the final use by the consumer.
ETP (Electrolytic Tin Plate)
In addition to producing tinplate and chrome-plated products, Coime Srl deals with ETP, electrolytic tinplate composed of low carbon steel coated with tin with a layer between them of steel-tin alloy. This product offers great resistance to corrosion and is mainly used to make cans.
We offer our customer the possibility to customize the tinplate with lithographs and paints, for the production of canned food, paint drums, containers for cosmetics, tea, coffee and biscuits.
TFS (Tin Free Steel, also known as ECCS, Electro-Chromium-Coated Steel)
Also the chromium-coated steel can be customized by our customers with lithographs and paints, but it is not suitable for welding. Its cost is slightly lower than that of tinplate. It is produced with low carbon steel coated with chromium with a layer between them of steel-chromium alloy.
TFS is used to produce can lids or ends, two-piece cans (called drawn cans) and crown caps.
